TEL’s Echoes project has gone global thanks to the visit of a researcher.
Ravi Agarwal, a PhD student from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad, spent May to July 2012 fine-tuning Echoes’ virtual touch-screen garden and the virtual character, ‘Andy’.
The project’s AI garden environment for large touch-screens uses gaze-tracking technology and a responsive character (Andy) to investigate and help improve the communication skills of 5-7 year olds, including those with Asperger’s Spectrum conditions.
