Team members from the Ensemble Project will be holding a workshop on ‘Video Tools for Educational Reflection and Analysis’ in Liverpool, 10am to 3.30pm, on January 16th 2013.
Participants will find out about using online videos and user-generated content to create engaging tools supporting analysis and reflection. Leave the workshop with a new tool to use in your own teaching!
Morning: Overview Background to development of the tools;
teacher and student perspectives how they can be used; review of sources and types of data, materials collections that could be
incorporated into teaching and learning practice.
Afternoon: Make Your Own! Participants will be supported in making a simple video-based page for use in their own teaching, either drawing on public sources, or on their own data.
Plenary A review of what has been achieved, considering how best to draw on available resources, to use video to engage students in analysis and reflection, and embed this in participants’ own practice.
